I’m not a warehouse brand — I’m a one-person show, blending, pouring, designing, and writing to bring moments of peace and delight into your home. Rooted in Tennessee’s warmth and hospitality, Scentful Things is more than a candle shop; it’s my dream, shaped in soy wax, scented with pure botanicals, and lit with care for both you and the Earth.

Why I Started Scentful Things

The world’s noise can stir anxiety, restlessness, and disconnection, clouding our ability to live fully. While modern medicine has its place, it often soothes symptoms without tending to the deeper roots of imbalance.

I’ve long been fascinated by how ancient aromatherapists used essential oils as their primary tools for healing mind and spirit. My own journey began at a kitchen table — stacks of books, small vials of oils, and a curiosity that turned into ritual. Candle-making became my way to restore calm and clarity — first for myself, and then for others.

But along the way, I uncovered a truth I couldn’t ignore: many mainstream candles hide environmental costs that harm the very world we depend on. What good is it to heal ourselves if, in the process, we harm the Earth?

That’s why Scentful Things was born — a small-batch, eco-conscious candle line designed to support well-being safely and sustainably. Every flame is a reminder that care for ourselves and care for the planet are one and the same.

How I Work – The One-Person Show

From sourcing wax and essential oils to photographing finished candles, every detail you see here is handled by me. I choose soy wax from U.S. farmers and essential oils from sustainable producers, test each blend for safety, and package with recyclable materials. I answer your emails, ship your orders, and write every word on this website. It’s intimate, challenging, and deeply rewarding — though I do have a little help from an AI assistant when it comes to writing and organizing ideas.

Because I’m a one-person studio, I have to be careful about capacity to keep quality high and service personal. That’s why the Botanical Journey Club is limited to 600 members during this start-up phase — so every subscriber gets the attention, exclusivity, and thoughtful experience they deserve.
